Fiat, which started production in 1899 with 3½ horsepower, also witnessed the birth of the modern automobile manufacturing industry in the same years.

In the summer of 1899, the factory in Turin produced only 24 cars with a total of 150 workers. At the same time, this factory was the only automobile factory in Italy. Today, with its Fiat 7 factory and more than 50,000 employees, it has become one of the largest automobile manufacturers.

In 1909, he established a factory in the United States and produced tractors, pickup trucks, airplanes, trains and even ship engines as well as private cars. In 1922, it took its first steps towards becoming a brand that tends to produce products with affordable prices among the ever-increasing number of consumers. In line with these steps, mass production of millions of small Fiat models was made in the mid-1950s. In this way, the brand has become the symbol of the Italian economic miracle.

What is a Clutch?

Clutch is a system that allows gear changes in automobiles. It enables the gear change to be made by cutting the connection between the gearbox and the engine. At the same time, the part between the engine and the transmission is called the clutch. The clutch ensures that the vehicle starts smoothly.

The clutch system establishes the connection between the lining, engine and wheels. The lining is a rough surface. Therefore, it appears as a disc-shaped part with high friction feature. When pressed on a surface, it moves with the surface and fully grasps the surface. This system is the system that creates the clutch.

While this system works with the clutch cable in old model cars, it works with hydraulic fluid and center in new model cars.

How to Tell if Clutch Pad Is Worn?

There are several clues to help you understand when the clutch lining is worn. These are:

  • Pedal becaomes harden
  • Experiencing excessive vibration at the first take-off
  • Decreased performance
  • Clutch starts to engage higher than normal
  • Hard gear shifts and friction noise from gears at the same time

In order to understand whether the clutch lining is worn or not, you need to know the vehicle and at the same time understand it. If you do not notice the worn, damaged clutch and continue to use it, the power transfer between the engine and the wheels may end while driving.

How Should Clutch Maintenance Be Done?

For clutch maintenance, first of all, you need to apply to competent masters. Because the parts used in the clutch are directly related to driving safety. At the same time, the quality of the parts used is also very important.
