Deutz Fahr is a German agricultural machinery manufacturer. It was founded in 1968 by the Klockner-Humboldt-Deutz AG (KHD) group after the majority acquisition of the capital of FAHR, which produces agricultural equipment. Its headquarters is in Germany. Clutch and exhaust parts are produced in accordance with this brand in our factory.

About Fahr

In order to understand the history of the Deutz Fahr brand, Deutz and Fahr brands should be examined separately.

The Fahr Machine Factory was founded by Johann Georg Fahr in 1870 in Gottmadingen. In 1938, the first tractor, the Fahr F22, was launched.

After the end of the Second World War, the company aimed to meet new needs by expanding its product range.

Under the Deutz Fahr brand, the products manufactured by Fahr include:

  • In 1870 there are machines and also equipment for land farming. These machines and equipment are feed choppers, threshers, grain mills, mills, presses and hoists.
  • In 1896, there are forage harvesters. These machines include mowers, grazing machines, rakes.
  • In 1909 there are cereals, reapers, self-linkers as well as combines.
  • In 1952, there are hay and straw harvesters. These machines are presses, rotary presses, balers, straw choppers, corn choppers, self-loading trailers.
  • In 1954, transportation, fertilization and soil tillage machines are among the products produced.

About Deutz

Deutz under the brand Deutz Fahr launched Fahr's FX series in Argentina in the 1970s. This series combines three models:

  • FX 80
  • FX 100
  • FX 120

History of Deutz:

  • In 1864, Nicolaus August Otto and Eugen Langen founded NA Otto & Cie.
  • Atmospheric gas engine was developed by NA Otto and E. Langen in 1867. This engine won a gold medal at the Paris Exposition Universelle as the most economical powerful machine for light industry.
  • In 1872, the factory was expanded and the joint stock company Gasmotoren - Fabrik Deutz AG (GFD) was established. Later in 1876, Deutz Fahr founder Nicolaus August Otto completed the four-stroke internal combustion engine for all types of fuel. In addition, the use of motors has spread all over the world, starting from Cologne.
  • In 1907, serial production of diesel engines started at GFD.
  • In 1921, a consortium was established with Motorenfabrik Oberursel AG and the company's name was changed to Deutz AG.
  • In 1927, Deutz produced the first non-compressor diesel powered road tractor in Cologne. This tractor had 14 horsepower, with two forward and one reverse gear.
  • Deutz F3M 317 was produced in 1935. Then, in 1936, the single-cylinder, water-cooled, 11-horsepower engine F1M414 was introduced. This model has been called a public tractor. It is also the first mass-produced mini tractor worldwide.
  • In 1953, pallet production began.
  • In 1995, KHD Agrartechnik GmbH (tractors) from Cologne and Deutz - Fahr Erntesysteme GmbH (combines, balers) from Lauingen were sold to the Italian Group SLH. After this sale, Deutz - Fahr Group emerged.
