Same is a tractor brand that continues its activities within the SDF Group, which was established in 1942. It stands for Società Accomandita Motori Endothermi. Tractor spare parts are produced in accordance with this brand in our factory.

Same Tractor continues its activities within the body of SDF Group today. SDF Group stands for Same Deutz – Fahr. The aforementioned SDF Group is a tractor, agricultural machinery, combine and engine manufacturer company established in 1927.

History of Same

1940-1970

Founded in 1942, Same originally produced gasoline and diesel engines for civil and industrial applications such as cranes, plows and firefighting pumps.

In 1946 Same introduced the first motorized lawnmower powered by an 8 horsepower gasoline engine.

At the Milan Trade Fair in 1946 it introduced the first 3-wheel petrol-powered lawnmower, which can also be attached to other agricultural machinery and tools. This lawnmower is the company's first universal tractor.

In 1948, the 3R / 10, powered by a single-cylinder 10 horsepower gasoline engine, was introduced to the market. The tractor was awarded a gold medal by the Turin Agricultural Academy. It was also described as “the gem of Italian industry” by Giornale dell'Agricoltura on October 24, 1948. 

The production of gasoline models of the brand in question began in 1950.

In 1952 it introduced the DA 25, powered by a 25 horsepower, 2280 cm3 two-cylinder diesel engine. This tractor is the first mass-produced modern tractor with 7-speed gearbox and 4WD drive with a top speed of 24.3 km/h.

The Same 240 was introduced in 1958. It is known as a smart tractor. Because the innovative lower link arm is equipped with traction control system as standard.

In 1961 Puledro and Samecar, a tractor that can be used to transport the product in the loading area after working in the field, was produced. During this period, 6 and 8 cylinder engine series were also developed.

In 1965, it introduced new V engines at the Verona fair. It also introduced Italia V, 450 V, Sametto V and Atlanta tractors at this fair. Another major improvement was the shift from the traditional rounded cowls to a more modern, boxy design.

In 1965, the Centauro series, consisting of three different models, was launched. In these tractors, a 3500 cm3 V4 engine with 55 horsepower, 8 forward and 4 reverse gears and a maximum speed of 34.8 km/h was used.

1970-2000

In 1972, the Corsaro 70 and Saturno 80 tractors were introduced to the market.

In 1973, Same Ferruccio bought Lamborghini Trattori SpA from Lamborghini.

In 1979, Hüerlimann acquired the Swiss brand Traktoren. It changed the name of the brand it bought as Gruppo SLH (SAME+Lamborghini+Hüerlimann) and became the second largest tractor manufacturer in Italy and also a leading manufacturer on a global scale.

Launched in 1983, the Explorer family has become one of the most successful products in the company's history. These tractors are the first and only Italian tractor and the only tractor with a top speed of 40 km/h.

In the late 1980s, the original Twin Vision video camera rear view system technology was introduced by Gruppo SLH.

In 1991, the Electronic PowerShift gearbox, designed especially for high-power applications, was introduced to the market with the Titan series.

In 1995 Gruppo SLH acquired the agricultural machinery division of Klöckner – Humboldt – Deutz. After purchasing this division, Same Deutz – Fahr group was formed.

In 1999 Same introduced the Galileo automatic leveling system in its Rubin 200 tractor series. This system has been developed to facilitate working on slopes. At the same time, this series won the Golden Tractor award for the Millennium Edition design in 2000.
