Founded in 1946, the company is headquartered in Brno, Czech Republic. Zetor is a company that produces tractors and tractor components. HTC Holding has been its sole shareholder since 29 June 2022.
Zetor has sold over 1.3 million tractors in its 76-year history. The product range consists of six model series with power outputs ranging from 40 to 160 hp. At the same time, Zetor is the first manufacturer to develop and produce tractor safety cabins.
The brand is represented abroad through seven organizations in North America, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, France and India. In 2015, the company directed 86% of its total production abroad. It exports its products to Ireland, France and England as well as traditional markets such as Slovakia, Poland and Germany.
The Major series was launched in early 2002. They are tractors with a power output of 80 hp (60 kW). In 2015, a new Major 60 model with 61 hp was added to the Major series.
At the end of 2016, the company introduced the Major HS model, which offers high comfort while maintaining low operating costs. This model belongs to the medium power class. It is appreciated that it offers easy and comfortable use.
The Forterra series are tractors equipped with four-cylinder engines for heavy-duty use in agriculture and forestry. The first models were introduced in 2008. Later in 2014, Forterra HSX with 30/30 gearbox and electro-hydraulic reverser was added to the product range.
In 2015, the Crystal model was launched. This model of Zetor, which did not produce a six-cylinder tractor for a long time, is a six-cylinder model. It has a power output of 144 to 163 horsepower (107 to 122 kW).
The name Crystal refers to the tractors produced by the brand from 1969 to the 1980s.
The Proxima series is a model that was introduced to the market in 2004. Zetor is considered as a universal agricultural tractor using four-cylinder engines. It can be used with agricultural machinery, industrial adapters and agricultural transport. It is mostly used in farming and forestry areas.
These are the models introduced in the first quarter of 2018. These new tractors are lighter and at the same time smaller. It has four-cylinder engines with power outputs between 43 and 67 horsepower (32 and 50 kW).

In recent years, the number of power steering has increased considerably. The reason for this is the comfort and lightness felt especially when cornering. Because the hydraulic system helps to turn the steering wheel more easily.
It is called power steering because it works with the help of hydraulic fluid. When it was first used, it was only available in luxury vehicles. However, over time, it has become an indispensable system for all cars.
When the steering wheel is turned in any direction, the wheels turn in that direction. In this way, the vehicle goes in the desired direction.
The communication between the wheels and the steering wheel is provided by the shaft. There is a threaded rod on this shaft. With the movement of this rod or shaft, the gear wheel rotates. Therefore, the movement of the gear wheel drives the wheels.
