About Landini

Landini SpA is an Italian agricultural machinery manufacturer. The company designs and manufactures tractors. It was founded in 1884 in Fabbrico, Italy. Its founder is Giovanni Landini.

Giovanni died in 1925 before he could complete the first prototype tractor. Later, his sons took over the business and completed the tractor project.

His sons, who took over the business in 1925, produced the first authentic Italian tractor with 30 horsepower. At the same time, this tractor was the pioneer of the Velite, Buffalo and Super Landini models with 40 and 50 horsepower produced in the mid-1930s. Also, the first production tractors were powered by a two-stroke single-cylinder engine. At the same time, this engine is a 40 horsepower and semi-diesel engine. The company continued to manufacture tractors with semi-diesel engines until 1957. However, when the Second World War broke out, it had to stop production.

In 1959 the first Landini crawler tractor, the C35, was produced. The company was subsequently acquired by Massey Ferguson. In 1973, 500 Series 2- and 4-wheel tractors were introduced to the market. Then, in 1980, he started working on vineyard tractors. In 1986, the first vineyard tractor was introduced to the market.

In 1989, 66% of Landini was sold by Massey Ferguson to ARGO SpA. Following the acquisition of Massey by AGCO in 1994, ARGO acquired a greater stake in Landini that year. In 2000, 9% of Landini, owned by AGCO, was purchased by ARGO.

It has 75 horsepower. At the same time, its engine is 3.4 liters and 4 cylinders. For maximum road safety, IBS combines rear brakes with oil-cooled front brakes. In this way, it reduces the braking distance by 50%. At the same time, the small size of the front axle allows the machine to have a compact design and move agile.

Landini Serie 5
