Landini

Giovanni Landini died in 1925 before he could complete the first prototype tractor. However, his sons took over the business and completed the tractor project.

His sons, who took over the business in 1925, produced the first authentic Italian tractor with 30 horsepower. This tractor, which was produced in the mid-1930s, was the pioneer of the models with 40 and 50 horsepower called Buffalo, Velite and Super. Also, the first production tractors were powered by a two-stroke single-cylinder engine. This engine used is a 40 horsepower and semi-diesel engine. The company continued to produce tractors with semi-diesel engines until 1957. However, II. When World War II began, production was necessarily stopped.

In 1959 the first Landini crawler tractor, the C35, was produced. The company was subsequently acquired by Massey Ferguson, and the 500 Series 2- and 4-wheel tractors were introduced in 1973. In 1980, studies on vineyard tractors started. In 1986, 6 years after the start of the works, the first vineyard tractor was put on the market.

In 1989, 66% of Landini was sold by Massey Ferguson to ARGO SpA. After Massey was acquired by AGCO in 1994, ARGO acquired more shares of Landini that year. In 2000, 9% of Landini, owned by AGCO, was purchased by ARGO.

The agricultural machinery brands that ARGO produces or distributes are as follows:

  • McCormick
  • Landini
  • Laverda
  • Valpadana
  • Pegoraro
  • S.E.P.

Clutch parts are produced in accordance with this brand in our factory.

What is Clutch?

The thrust generated by the engine is transmitted to the wheels through the clutch in vehicles with manual transmission. The clutch system ensures the most efficient use of the engine's thrust. When the vehicle reaches a certain rpm level while driving, it is possible to change gears thanks to this system.

The most important feature that distinguishes manual cars from automatic cars is the clutch system. At the same time, the most important factor affecting the reason for choosing a vehicle when purchasing a vehicle is the presence of the clutch system.

What Are the Clutch Parts?

Clutch consists of 4 different parts. These parts are;

  • Clutch bearing
  • Flywheel connected to the engine
  • Clutch lining
  • Clutch plate

What is the Working Principle of the Clutch?

This system makes use of the friction force principle. It is also a gear system. When the car is started, the lining and pressure are activated. There is a ball between these two parts. When the clutch is pressed, the ball exerts pressure on the pressure, thus allowing the pad to be released. In this way, the gear lever is moved. Therefore, gear change is possible.

What Are the Functions of the Clutch?

The duties of the clutch are as follows:

  • To transmit the rotational movement of the engine gradually and smoothly to the gearbox while the vehicle is tilted.
  • Allowing the transmission of motion between the engine and the transmission to be interrupted and gear changing by depressing the clutch pedal while driving.
  • Disconnecting the engine from the powertrain at any time

Does the Clutch System Have a Certain Lifespan?

Like every other part in automobiles, the clutch also has a certain lifespan. The lining wears out after long-term use. Therefore, it loses its grip. For this reason, it is necessary to regularly check the clutch condition of the pedal and the height of the clutch pedal.

If you neglect these checks, which should be done at regular intervals, your pad may be damaged. It can also cause the power transmission between the engine and the wheels to end. Therefore, you should not neglect the clutch controls.
