Başak Tractor, which was established in Adapazarı in 1914, is currently producing within the body of Sakon Holding. The main parts of the tractor, including the engine, are produced and assembled in the factory, which has a production capacity of 10,000 tractors per year. Clutch and brake parts are produced in accordance with Başak brand in our factory.

About Başak Tractor

Başak Tractor is a tractor producing company within Sanko Holding. Its factory is located in Sakarya. It was established in 1914 as Iron Car - Wooden Car factory in Adapazarı. In 1944, it continued to produce agricultural machinery and tools under the name Sakarya Alat-ı Zıraiye by being affiliated with the Turkish Agricultural Equipment Corporation Joint Stock Company.

Başak Tractor, which started to serve by importing Ford brand tractors in 1962, started to produce parts in addition to importing in its factory located in Adapazarı in 1968. As a result, it reached 65% in domestic tractor production.

In 1979, he signed a 10-year license agreement with the Australian company Steyr. Production with license agreement continued until 1996. After 1996, Başak Tractor continued its production using the logo and brand. In other words, the factory, which was established in 1914, took its current name in 1996.

In 2003 T.C. The Privatization Administration put the Başak Tractor factory up for sale. After this sale, the factory was transferred to Başak Tractor İş ve Tarım Makineleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. In 2012, it was sold to Sanko Holding.

Başak Tractor made its first export in 2001. It has been exporting since 2007.

While the annual production was 400 units in 2013, the annual production was increased to 3500 units in 2015.
