Founded on July 11, 1899, this factory took its name from the initials of the words Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino. It started production in 1899 with 3½ horsepower. It also witnessed the birth of the modern automobile manufacturing industry in the same years. It includes various brands such as Maserati, Iveco, Jeep. It is among the largest automobile and industrial groups in the world.

Fiat, which was located in Turin in the summer of 1899 and was also Italy's only automobile factory, produced only 24 cars with a total of 150 workers. Today, it is among the largest automobile manufacturers with its 7 factories and more than 50,000 employees.

In 1909, Fiat established a factory in the United States, producing tractors, trains, ship engines, pickup trucks, and airplanes, as well as private automobiles.

In 1922, it took its first steps towards becoming a brand that tends to produce products with affordable prices for consumers whose numbers are constantly increasing. What is a Differential?

With the differential, which is among the parts we produce for the rear layout, the wheels on the inside turn differently than those on the outside when cornering in cars. In this way, driving safety is ensured. There are 5 different types of differentials. These are:

• Locked Differential: Locked differential ensures that both wheels rotate at the same speed. It is the most preferred differential type.
• Rear Alignment: Dynamic Torque Controlled Differential: It is a type of differential used in four-wheel drive cars.
• Open Differential – Classical Differential: It is one of the commonly used differential types. It transmits the torque from the engine to both wheels equally. Therefore, the traction force on the right wheel is always the same as on the left wheel.
• Limited Slip Differential: Designed to protect the vehicle. Therefore, if the amount of rotation between the two wheels exceeds a certain limit, it is activated.
• Electrically Controlled Limited Slip Differential: It is used more frequently in upper segment vehicles.
